Our basic unusual attitude course consists of approximately 4 hours of ground school, where we will talk about the aerodynamics and physics of unusual attitudes, how, when, and why we encounter unusual attitudes, weather, and human factors.  The price of the course includes Sky Dancing, by David Robson, which we will use as our main text.  After we complete the ground portion we will take 2 training flights in the Pitts S-2B where we will cover the maneuvers and unusual attitudes we discussed. The basic aerobatic manuevers and spin recoveries are available at no additional charge, but are not required (aileron rolls, wingovers, loops, chandelles, and hammerheads.)  This course can give you a basic knowledge of aerobatics and will give you a thorough understanding of unusual attitude recoveries.  We are based out of Redding Municipal (RDD).  Please contact us, 530-351-3856, if you have any more questions, or want to schedule a class.  

If you are an instrument pilot or are planning on becoming an instrument pilot we also offer an Instrument Recovery add-on.  This will consist of another ground session and flight in the aircraft focusing on recovering from unusual attitudes with reference to primary instruments.
